Ann was born in 1813 in Great Gaddesden and married agricultural labourer Thomas Humphrey in 1833.
Ann gave birth to Edward (1836), Charlotte (1838), Emma (1839), Sarah (1842), George (1845), Sidney (1847) and Francis (1850), all in Berkhamsted.
In 1851 they were living at Bury Mill End, Hemel Hempstead. Edward and his father were farm labourers; Charlotte, Emma, Sarah and George straw plaiters.
Three more children were born: Sophia (1852), William (1854) and John (1859) and in
1861 the family was living in Water Lane, Berkhamsted where Ann died in October 1864 aged 51.
