Annie Munn
1876 –1939

Unmarked grave Annie Munn (née Messenger) (1876-1939)

Annie was born in 1876 in Bierton, Bucks to Charles and Mary Messenger. Her father was a builder’s labourer.

She married labourer James Munn in 1895 in Berkhamsted.

Ethel (1896), Harry (1897), Walter (1899) and Alice (1900) were all born in the town and by

1901 the family lived at 16, Gossoms End. James was a bricklayer’s labourer.

Annie had three more children: Percy (1904), Hilda (1906) and Albert (1909) and by 1911 they lived at 8, Norris Terrace. James was a painter at Lane’s nursery.

Horace (1913) and Phyllis (1917) completed the family.

In 1921 they lived in St John’s Well Lane where Annie died June 1939 at number 2, aged 63.
