Caleb Clarke

Unmarked grave Caleb Clarke (1865-1916)

Caleb Clarke has proved exceedingly difficult to research. It seems likely that he is the person born in Little Gaddesden in 1865 and baptised 20 September 1868 in the parish church when his mother was named as Sarah Clarke.

In 1871 he living in Little Gaddesden with his grandparents James Clarke, an agricultural labourer, and Mary, a straw plaiter. Where he was between then and his death in September 1916 in the Union workhouse aged 51 is unknown.
