Biography:
Cyril Kingham
13/05/1900 –05/04/1998

Cyril Herbert Charles was born to Charles Kingham and Jane Miller in 1900, who already had a daughter, aged 5, Violet Jane.  His father was a baker.

He never married but lived with his sister into old age.
I remember my father’s cousin’s, Cyril and Violet, very well. They were both unmarried and shared No. 7 Chapel Street. Cyril was the Chief Clerk in the National Westminster Bank at Berkhamsted and Violet lived at home caring for the house.  I regularly used to visit her and she taught me to sew and embroider. We moved into 109 High Street after the war and I used to walk down Manor Street to visit them. Frances Jean Stephens née Kingham
Cyril died on 5th April 1998, aged 97. The family are all buried together in Rectory Lane Cemetery.
