Plot 975 Daphne Joyce Mary Ellis (1920-1956) Daphne was born in 1920 in Berkhamsted to Evelyn (née Dalling) and Henry Ellis. Her mother had been born in Northchurch and her father was a general labourer from Yorkshire. In 1921 the family were living with Evelyn’s parents and brother at 14, Ravens Lane. Both her father and brother worked for W Cooper’s chemicals. Daphne did not marry and died in 1956 aged 36. It has not been possible so far to discover further details of her life.
