Dennis was born in 1927 in Berkhamsted to Charles Albert and Louisa Nellie (née Reynolds) Sear. His father was a general labourer for the Urban District Council.
Tragically, little Dennis died 31 March 1929 at 14, Gossoms End, aged 23 months. He is buried here with his sister Eileen who died four days earlier, aged four.
