Elizabeth was born in 1790 in Harpenden, the daughter of John and Grace Mercier.
It appears that she never married and in 1841 was living in Berkhamsted on “independent means”, her mother having died the previous year, but nothing further has been discovered about her life.
She died in Berkhamsted 30 September 1848 aged 57.
