Elsie Elizabeth Foskett (1890- 1911)

Elise was born in Berkhamsted in 1890 and baptised at St Peter’s on the 15th October that year. She was the daughter of Jonah Foskett, a carpenter and Elizabeth, the daughter of Emma and William Bartram.

In 1891 the family were in Raven’s Lane but by March 1901 they had moved to 10, Gravel Path and James, Elsie’s younger brother had been born.

They were still at that address in 1911 and James was a carpenter like his father, although no occupation is given for twenty-one year old Elsie. Perhaps she was already unwell, because she died 14th September 1911 and was laid to rest here with her young aunt, Gertrude Bartram, who had died aged twenty three in 1907.
