Emily was born in 1861 in Berkhamsted, the daughter of Shadrach and Mary (née Grover, late Ashby) Latchford. Her father was a general labourer.
In 1871 she was staying with her aunt Charlotte and uncle James Adams in the High Street. James was a labourer.
Emily died May 1877 aged 16.
Her brother Frederick, who died aged 9 in 1868, is also buried in this cemetery.
