Emily Miller

Unmarked grave Emily Miller (née Humphrey) (1878-1948)

Emily was born 12 June 1878 in Berkhamsted to George and Sophia Humphrey. Her father was a labourer.

She married Frederick T  Miller, a wooden spoon maker from Chesham, in 1901 in his home town.

In March 1901 they were living with his mother at 10, Franchise Street, Chesham.

Harry was born in 1901 in Chesham and Annie in 1902 Chesham.

The couple moved to Berkhamsted and had three more children: Dolly (1905), Herbert (1906) and Stanley (1909).

From at least 1911 they lived at 6, Red Lion Yard. Frederick was a farm labourer. In 1939 they were still at the same address. Frederick was a firewood merchant.

Emily died in Berkhamsted in 1948.
