Unmarked grave Florence Bertha Sharp (nee Timberlake) (1887-1932)

Florence was born 24 March 1887 in Kensington Infirmary, London to Louisa Timberlake “servant, of 1, Palace Gate Mansions”. No father’s name is given.

Presumably her unmarried mother had to return to her employment and by 1891 Florence was living with her grandparents James and Martha Timberlake and their two sons at Railway Terrace, Abbots Langley. Her grandfather was a paper stainer, born in Kings Langley.

She married bricklayer’s labourer James Sharp in 1909 in Watford.

In 1911 she and James were living at 77, Breakespeare Road, Abbots Langley. Florence Maud was born later that year and Robert James in 1913, also in Abbots Langley. Alice Mary was born 1914 in Garston, Watford.

In June 1921 they were living at 36, Highfield Road, Berkhamsted.

Florence died 8 July 1932 aged 45 of cervical cancer at 34, Highfield Road, Berkhamsted. James remarried, survived her for ten years and is buried in plot 896 with his second wife Annie.
