Plot 874: Frederick Lovel Baker (1896-1902).

Frederick was the second son of Frederick George Baker and his first wife Betsey Conquest.

Frederick snr. was a saddle and harness maker from St Ives who moved to Berkhamsted in about 1895 with Betsey and their daughter Henrietta Chambers Baker. George jnr. was born in 1896.

Their time in Berkhamsted was marked by tragedy for Betsey died in 1899 aged only twenty nine. The family moved to 5, Chesham Road where little Frederick died aged only six in 1902. He was laid to rest here with his grandmother Henrietta Baker who had died two years previously.

Frederick George went on to marry again and he had his second wife Ellen (Nellie) had three children. Frederick George and Ellen lie in plot 764.
