Unmarked grave George Rogers (1860-1908)
George was born in 1840 in Berkhamsted. He never married.
Several men of the same name were born around that time in the Berkhamsted area and it has not been possible identify which is this George.
In 1901 he was working as a builder’s labourer and was a lodger in the home of John and Sophia White, 40, Highfield Road.
He died in the Union workhouse in March 1908 aged 68.
