Henry Dyer; 1824 -1904

Henry Dyer was born in Davenport Northamptonshire March 1824 to Michael and Ann Dyer. He had a brother Michael. Both were shoe and boot makers. Northamptonshire was the home of shoemaking. He lived in Stratford on Avon in 1841 as did his brother Michael. He remained a self employed shoe maker until he retired.

Henry married his first wife, Charlotte Foster who came from Berkhamsted in 1848. They didn’t have any children and Charlotte died in Berkhamsted in 1864.

Henry then married Hannah Sams, also from Berkhamsted in 1870. She was quite a lot younger than his first wife and they had one child Elizabeth born 1872.

Henry died in 1904.
