Jane was born in Water End in 1843, the daughter of William and Jane Seaton.
She married William Honour, a bricklayer’s labourer, in Berkhamsted in 1856 and they had two sons, Frederick (1864) and Alfred (1866)
In 1881 the family was living in the High Street and Jane was supplementing their income by straw plaiting for the Luton and Dunstable hat industry. William died in November that year aged only 37 and in 1885 she lost Alfred. Frederick, a labourer, who never married, remained with her for the rest of her life.
By 1901 they had moved to 20, Mill Street where they remained for the rest of Jane’s life. She died in April 1915 aged 72.
Frederick died in 1934 and is buried in this cemetery.
