Rectory Lane Cemetery, Berkhamsted

John Thomas Lindeman was born on 11 January 1856, the son of William and Sarah Lindeman.  His father, William, was a local grocer in town.  He was baptised on 22 June 1856 in Berkhamsted. He had a sister Henrietta born in 1858 and there was a younger brother who was born and died in February 1855, un-named (perhaps stillborn). John Thomas died aged 4 years and seven months. In 1867 his mother Sarah Lindeman died aged 37 years and in 1871, aged 47, his father William Lindeman married his second wife Harriet Ann Foard. Together they had seven children. 1.    Janet b.1869 2.    Ernest William b.1870 died 11 January 1873  aged 3 years 1 month [PLOT 246] 3.    Harriet Maud b.1871-1901 4.    George Maurice b.1872-1924 5.    Bruce Guy b.1874-1958 [PLOT 1038] 6.    Beatrix Foard b.1876 7.    James Edward b.16 February 1878, d.1878 age 51 weeks [PLOT 246] Sadly, his two half-brothers Ernest William and James Edward Lindeman also died very young and joined him in the same plot.
