Lizzie was born in 1870 in Potton End, the eighth child of William and Caroline Mothersole. Her father was a bricklayer and both parents had been born in Suffolk
She married George Lewis, a railway porter born in Hanwood, Shropshire, in Berkhamsted 8 July 1895.
Their only child, Dorothy Evelyn, was born in 1901 in Wellington, Shropshire.
Lizzie died 25 June 1909 at 31, Victoria Road, Berkhamsted, aged 39.
