View full burial detailsPlot 1062 Marjorie Farn (née Cooper) (1901-1949)
Marjorie was born 18 July 1901 to Emma Jane (née Ward) and William George Cooper, a plumber.
The family lived in Manor Street, but her father died in 1908.
In 1911 Marjorie and her mother and siblings were at 10, Station Road, Berkhamsted.
She was still living with her family in Station Road ten years later when she was employed as a shop assistant by H. Ward in the High Street.
Marjorie married William Stanley Farn in Berkhamsted in 1932 and they appear to have moved to her home at 10, Station Road. In 1934, they suffered the grief of the stillbirth of their first child. Their son Richard J was born in 1936.
The 1939 Register records them still at 10, Station Road. William was “chemical manufacturer’s clerk”.
Marjorie died 20 April 1949 aged 47 at Mount Vernon Hospital, Ruislip.
William was to marry twice more and died in Wales in 1974.
Her parents and brother Arthur Thomas are buried in Plot 837, which also commemorates her brother Walter William.
Her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Frederick and Alice Farn, are buried in Plot 655.
