Mary Ann was born 14 May 1835 Berkhamsted to James and Mary Young. Her father was a gardener.
She married Richard Lines 4 November 1855 in St Pancras Old Church, London.

Richard worked as a wood turner, a labourer and a railway porter.
He died at 18, Ravens Lane in February 1912 and is buried here. Mary continued to live alone at that address until she died 1 December 1924.
