Plot 959 Mary Richardson  (née Rogers)

Mary was born c.1861 in the Berkhamsted area. Her parents have not been identified.

On 7 August 1882 she married Thomas Ryder Richardson, in Little Gaddesden.

In 1891 the couple were living at 20 Castle Street with their children, who had all been born in Berkhamsted: Jane (1884) and Marian (1886) and son Thomas (1889). Thomas was working as a packer at the chemical works. The family were still at the same address ten years later.

By 1911 they had moved to 2, Victoria Road. Thomas jnr. had left home but the daughters were still with their parents and both worked as dressmakers. Thomas died 6 July 1917 at West Herts Hospital aged 67.

Mary died 13 July 1934 aged 73. She and  their daughter Marion Copley who died in 1969 are buried here together with Thomas.
