Rosa King was born in 1876 in either Berkhamsted or Maidstone depending on which census return one believes.
She married Sydney James Clark, a carpenter and joiner born in Maidstone, in Berkhamsted in 1899.
The couple were to have no children and appear to have lived their entire married lives at 63, High Street.
Rosa died in March 1928 aged 52 and was buried 6 March. Sydney survived her by only a few days and was buried in this cemetery 9 March, aged 55. It seems likely that the same infectious disease, possibly the influenza, was responsible.
