Sarah Constance Griffin (nee Brown) 1872-1933
Sarah Constance Brown was born in High Holborn in 1872. Her parents were Charles and Kate Brown. On the 20 April 1896, in St Giles Church, Reading she married William James Griffin. Her first child William James Griffin was born in 1897 and was baptized in South Hinksey, Oxford on 11 July, residence was 28 Francis Street, Reading. In 1901 she was living in Kingsthorpe, Northants with her railway porter husband.
Her second son Ernest Walter Griffin was born in Berkhamsted on 29 July 1906 followed by her daughter Hilda Mary on 12 February 1912. In the 1911 census she was living in 6 Holliday Street, where she continued to live until her death aged 60 in West Herts Hospital, Hemel Hempstead on 10 June 1933. She left an estate of £652.2s.10d.
