Violet was the fourth child of Frederick William and Emma (née Rush) Collins and was born 11 May 1900 in Tring where her father worked as a cowman.

She died on 6 March 1906 while they were living at 12, Bridge Street, Berkhamsted.

Her parents are buried in plot 1055 and Olive Gladys Collins, the daughter of her brother Frederick William jnr., lies in an unmarked grave in this cemetery.
