Unmarked grave William Dell (1818-1877)
William was born in 1818 in Wiggington, the son of Henry and Elizabeth Dell.
It has proved impossible to learn much about his life other than that he never married and worked as a farm labourer.
By 1871 he was an inmate in the Berkhamsted Union workhouse, one of the many “imbeciles” in their care. He died there in September 1877 aged 59 and was buried 26 September
