Pointed granite sarcophagus by George Lingard, topped with a Latin cross and marked with side inscriptions.

This sarcophagus forms an ensemble together with the larger adjacent chest tomb (plot 284), the burial of Emily & Francis’s parents. Both memorials sit on top of a massive granite stone slab, engraved in the south-east corner with the name “Lingard”.

Condition: good

Sarcophagus in good condition, inscription partly eroded slightly but still legible.
Slab plinth has been severely cracked by invasive sapling growth.
