Violet Jane was born to Charles Kingham and Jane Miller in 1895. Her brother Cyril Herbert Charles joined her five years later. Her father was a baker.
She never married but lived with her brother into old age.
I remember my father’s cousin’s, Cyril and Violet, very well. They were both unmarried and shared No. 7 Chapel Street. Cyril was the Chief Clerk in the National Westminster Bank at Berkhamsted and Violet lived at home caring for the house. I regularly used to visit her and she taught me to sew and embroider. We moved into 109 High Street after the war and I used to walk down Manor Street to visit them.
