Godfrey Paul Snell – Glastonbury UK

Colonel WHAD Sutton RAMC was my grandfather, who sadly died when I was 3 months old. I knew his second wife (Colonel Grace Sutton QARANC ne Wallis) and stayed with her at Old Cottage, ,Long Melford where Grandpa died and at Smithy Cottage Alpheton and latterly Rose cottage, Goonown, St Agnes, Cornwall at least once a year. The history of this branch of the Sutton family is interesting and many served with valour across the Empire and the world. On rare occasions my mother (Madeleine Anne Snell ne Sutton) and I would visit her parents’ graves. Madeleine passed away in 2005 and I would love to reunite her with her family in due course. May they all Rest in Peace and Rise in Glory.
