We had a brilliant Easter Discovery Trail on Good Friday - welcoming lots of families to (re)discover this lovely place. The children enjoyed following the clues, chatting to the guides and then being rewarded with a chocolate egg. With thanks to our volunteer helpers and guides for giving it such a friendly and welcoming vibe. Here are just a few pictures from the day:

We are delighted that our Volunteer Team has been judged The Best of the Best (jointly with Friends of Antrim Castle Gardens), by Green Flag, the charity which recognizes and rewards the best parks and green spaces in the UK and around the world. This award recognises the hard work and dedication of all our volunteers who are part of a wide-ranging team supporting our part-time Ranger: weekly and monthly work party members, mowers, grave gardeners, genealogy researchers, fundraisers, guides, event hosts, website manager, project manager....  Some of these volunteers work individually, on site or at home. Together we are an amazing team, which may not come together a lot, but each person is contributing to the success of the cemetery as a beautiful community space.
