Rectory Lane Cemetery, Berkhamsted

The Cemetery is gaining a reputation as an interesting and accessible venue for events in Berkhamsted.  Our events are diverse: intimate tour and tea with the Countess of Bridgewater (our Victorian benefactress); family-friendly, hands-on Bonkers about Bees afternoon with five different wild and honey bee experts; the BerkoFest Book Festival with readings and book-signings; dramatic retellings of historical lives; Heritage Open Days, embracing every aspect of the Cemetery, with visitor numbers touching 650.

The feedback from visitors at our events shows that we are making a positive contribution, enriching their awareness of Berkhamsted’s history and heritage:

We are hugely appreciative of any financial contribution or support in kind given by local organisations and happy to acknowledge that support in all our communications.  As a voluntary group we cannot continue indefinitely to deliver quality events without such support or sponsorship.
