Thomas Heath resigns from the post of Sexton of the Great Berkhamsted Parish after serving 24 years. He is succeeded by George Pearce. Heath dies on 5th Sept 1877 and the funeral is held of ‘our late respected sexton’. Parish accounts reflect a £5 donation to improving the walks etc. in the Burial Ground.
