SARAH COOK; 1822 – 1887
Sarah was born on 13th May 1822 in Berkhamsted, one of six children born to and George Cook and Margaret Cook (née Hill), including her elder sister, Margaret, also buried in Rectory Lane Cemetery,
Sarah’s father was a miller and farmer living in Water Lane. By 1851 her father George had died and the family were living in Ravens Lane. They didn’t work and lived off rental income from their properties. Sarah, like Margaret, remained spinsters. Even though Sarah was the younger sister she died before Margaret on 14th December 1887.
