Rectory Lane Cemetery, Berkhamsted

The Cemetery is a beautiful setting for both permanent sculpture and temporary art installations.  Contemporary art and artistic interpretations can sit alongside and complement heritage art and design.  The new seats, especially designed for the Cemetery, the Garden of Remembrance and the Memory Wall, enhance the site further. The ‘angel of the south’ sculpture designed and made by Chris Stokes hovers above the performance area. The unique atmosphere of the place and what it represents, inspires creative thinking.

Berkhamsted does not have a sculpture park or outdoor art venue – the Cemetery would be a glorious setting for both temporary and permanent outdoor sculpture.
