Rectory Lane Cemetery, Berkhamsted

A fascinating series of booklets is available which explore the history of Rectory Lane Cemetery and some of those buried here.

The books cover the hidden symbolism of memorials and gravestones, the lives of some of the more interesting personalities buried here; the moving stories behind the war graves which date from World War I; and Remarkable Women in the Cemetery – appropriate for the centenary of the Suffrage Act 1918.
