Rectory Lane is about half a mile from Berkhamsted Railway Station, on the London Euston-Tring line.

  • Exit the station on the ticket office side
  • Go left along Lower Kings Road, following the canal
  • Turn right, cross the bridge over the canal and go straight up Castle Street
  • At the end of the street, cross over the High Street and turn left

  • The cemetery gates are straight ahead

Castle Street is a gentle uphill route. To avoid the hill, you can turn right out of the station instead and then go via the High Street - this is a more gradual incline but a slightly longer route.
