Albert Lilley
1882 –1921

Unmarked grave Albert Cornelius Lilley (1882-1921)

Albert was born in 1882 in Canterbury and was adopted by John and Elizabeth Boyce, a Kentish couple. John was a sergeant cook in the 8th King’s Irish Hussars and in 1891 he, Elizabeth and Albert were billeted at the Norwich cavalry barracks at Pockthorpe.

Albert never married and became a tailor.

In 1911 he was a boarder with widow Mrs Redding at 51, High Street.

When Mrs Redding moved to 6, Highfield Road  Albert moved with her and in June 1921 he was employed by tailor Mr S East in Clarence Road.

Albert died December 1921 aged 39.
