Alfred was born in December 1903 but sadly died in West Herts Infirmary, Hemel Hempstead in June 1904, aged 7 months.
His parents were John and Alice (née Eames) Davis of 4, Manor Street. His father was a labourer at Cooper’s chemical works.
He had two older sisters and an older brother. Another sister, Amy had been born and died in 1900 and is buried in this cemetery.
The 1911 census return reveals that his parents had nine children of whom four had died by that year.
His father is buried in this cemetery.
