Arthur was born in 1918 in Derby, the son of Elizabeth (née Grounds) and Arthur Trubshaw Read. His father was a railway clerk.
The family moved to Berkhamsted where Arthur sadly died aged just 11 on 4 June 1929 at 21, Greenway West.
He is buried with his parents and his baby niece Marion Jane Christian.
