Dora was born 2 August 1875 in Ivinghoe Aston to Edmund, a shepherd, and Emma Horne
In 1891 the family, including Dora and her brother and four sisters were living in Aldbury “at the back of Williams’ cottages”.
Dora married Henry Sills, a groom, 4 February 1896 in Watford parish church.
Henry’s occupation must have involved him moving between employers fairly frequently as
Charles Henry as born in 1898, in Harefield Middx, Elizabeth in 1903 in Colebrooke Devon – by which point Henry was a coachman – William (1905 Colebrook), George (1915 Berkhamsted) and Geoffrey (1918 Berkhamsted). By then Henry was a domestic gardener.
Between at least 1921-1939 the family lived at 1, Thompsons Row.
Dora and Henry both died in 1948. They are buried here together.
