Elizabeth Branscombe

Unmarked grave Elizabeth Branscombe (1828-1902)
Elizabeth was born in Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire in 1828.
She married Frank Branscombe, born in Devon, in Berkhamsted in 1871, aged forty three. At that point her surname was given as Baker but it has not been possible to establish whether she was a spinster or a widow.
In 1881 they lived in Castle Street and Frank was employed as a wood turner. They were at the same address ten years later when Frank was a saw sharpener and Elizabeth did plain needlework.
In 1901 she was living in the home of her nephew, ironmonger Samuel Watts, at 51, George Street. There is no mention of Frank, although she is shown as married, not widowed.
Elizabeth died in 1902 aged 74.
