Rectory Lane Cemetery, Berkhamsted

Biography:
Eric Martin
d. 06/04/1932

Eric was the tenth child (and fourth son) of Frederick Martin and his wife Alice Rose (nee Kempster) who lived at 10 High Street Berkhamsted (now 6 High Street). He died of appendicitis aged two and eight months. Frederick and Alice Rose went on to have two more daughters. All their children have now died except the youngest, Brenda Johnson, who lives in Northchurch. Brenda has childhood memories of visiting the grave with her mother and has recently visited it with me.  She is very grateful that the grave has been restored  and planted so that Eric can be remembered, something she is sure her mother would have appreciated.
