Unmarked grave Frederick Fountain (1857-1904)
Frederick was born in 1857 in Berkhamsted to unmarried mother Elizabeth Fountain and baptised 31 May that year. His sister Kate was born in 1859 and Caroline in 1864.
In 1869 Elizabeth married Frederick Bishop and in 1871 young Frederick was living in Bridge Street in a household with grandparents George and Caroline Smith (his maternal grandmother and her second husband) and his mother and step-father Frederick Bishop and his sisters.
Frederick’s life between then and his death at 13, Castle Street in December 1904 aged 47 has not been traced.
His mother and step-father are buried in plot x210
