Rectory Lane Cemetery, Berkhamsted

Born on the 5th of November 1902, Gordon lived in Montague Road, Berkhamsted. His father, Frederick Norris was an ironworker journeyman and his mother’s name was Frances Mary Elizabeth Norris nee Atkins. Little Gordon sadly passed away aged just 6 ½ months old on the 24th of May 1903. The cause of death was epidemic, diarrhoea exhaustion, which was, unfortunately, a common cause of death at the time. His parents, grandmother and other relatives are remembered at the grave against the wall opposite.  Little Gordon shares this grave with his older brother Frederick.
