Unmarked grave John Richard Hadfield (1920-1925)

John was born in 1920 to Edith Keate (née Brooks) and John Richard Hadfield. He was their third child and second son. His father was a surveyor and sanitary engineer, born in Derbyshire and employed by the Urban District Council. His mother had been born in Bedford, as had both of John junior’s siblings. The family was prosperous enough to employ a live-in domestic servant.

Sadly little John died at Don Bank, Ashlyns Road aged only 5 and was buried 15 September 1925.
