Joseph was born in 1835 in Bierton with Boughton, Aylesbury, Bucks, the son of agricultural labourer John Parker and his wife Rebecca.
It has not been possible to trace what happened to him from his childhood until 31 March 1901 when the census records him living at 24, Victoria Road. He was a widower with a boarder, a 17 year old clerk, and was “living on his own means.”
Joseph died 28 September 1901 aged 66.
