Owen William Bayes was born in 1877, in Northampton. His parents were Thomas Bayes (45) and Lydia Pollard (43). On 27 July 1902 he married Florence Harrison in Berkhamsted, and they had a son. Herbert Owen Bayes (1907–1982). In 1891 Owen was living in Ecton, Northamptonshire, and in 1911 he was resident in Northchurch Owen died on 29 January 1945, at the age of 68 and was buried in the upper section of Rectory Lane Cemetery. Florence outlived him by 6 years and died on 1 April 1951 at the age of 72. She was buried next to her husband.
