Plot 822 Thomas Harry Gravestock (1881-1905)

Thomas was born in 1881 in Berkhamsted to Rosina and Harry Gravestock. His father was a printer.

In 1891 the family, including Thomas’s two younger sisters, were living in Victoria Road, Berkhamsted.

In 1901 Thomas was still with his family at 31, Ravens Lane and was employed as a railway clerk.

He married Florence Annie Bugden, the daughter of a coachman, on 12 October 1904 in St Paul’s, Hemel Hempstead. He was resident in Berkhamsted at the time.

Tragically Thomas died of tuberculosis only a year later in November 1905 at Kingsland Road, Boxmoor, aged only 24.

Florence became a cookery teacher and is recorded in the 1911 census living in Kingston on Thames.
