VERA MABEL STERNE (1918-1918) Vera was born in 1918, the youngest of three children born to George William Sterne and Kate Mabel Waterton.  She had an elder brother, Eric Harry William (1908- 1984) and sister, Thora Emma Bessie (1913- 1999).  Sadly, Vera died in infancy, shortly after her birth. Also buried in Rectory Lane are both sets of Vera’s grandparents – Harry and Emma Sterne (née Wheeler) and Cornelius and Catherine Waterton (née Fowler).
