Celebrating Creativity in the Cemetery
Heritage Open Days, the annual free festival of fun and fascinating events returns in September with the theme Creativity Unwrapped. All over England, historic sites are exploring the history of creativity in all its forms.
Here in Berkhamsted, Rectory Lane Cemetery is offering a day of free, family-friendly activities in the unique location of our historic cemetery. Throughout the day there will be a programme of open-air activities:
- 09:30 Photography workshops for DSLR
- 10:00 until 16:00 Watch a ‘plein air’ artist at work with Hertfordshire artist Jackie Henderson
- 11:15 Peter Pan youth drama with Gobstoppers Theatre Arts
- 12:00 A creative writing workshop with local author AJ Freer
- 13:00 Classical guitar music with Don Adam Perera
- 13:00 Guided tour: Creative People of the Past
- 14:00 Creative Dance with Dacorum Community Dance
- 15:00 Photography workshops for iPhone
