Archie was born in 1871 in George Street, Berkhamsted, the son of sawyer Joseph Peace and his wife Mary Ann.
The family had moved to the Rose and Crown by 1881 and by 1891 Joseph was the publican there. Archie was living at home and was apprenticed to a builder.
Archie died 28 September 1893, aged only 23, and is buried here with his parents. His brother Arthur and his wife are buried in plot 774.
