Unmarked grave Frederick James Randall (1872-1937)

Frederick was born in 1872 in Northchurch to Joseph and Lucy Ann (née Coxhill) Randall. His father was a bootmaker, his mother a machinist – probably involved in boot making too. They lived in Orchard End.

His father died in 1888 and in 1891 Frederick was a carpenter, living with his mother, a laundress, and his cousin Maria Kempster.

He married Katherine Beer, from Aldbury, in 1892.

Arthur Joseph was born in 1893 followed by Nellie (1895), Frank (1898) and William (1899). Twins Florence and Elizabeth were born and died in 1900: they are buried in this cemetery.

In 1901 the family were living at 243, High Street. Frederick  was born in 1902 and Alma in 1903. Nellie died in 1904 aged only eight. Their final child, Albert, was born in 1907.

In 1911 Katherine and Frederick lived at 3, St John’s Well Road.

Katherine died in April 1914 at 10, Kitsbury Road, aged 43.

In 1921 Frederick married again to Gertrude Thorne, born in Somerset, and in June that year they were living at 10, Kitsbury Road with Alma and Albert. He was employed by Mr Matthews in Castle Street.

Frederick died in May 1937 aged 64 at 10 Kitsbury Road.

Katherine and twins Florence and Elizabeth are buried in this cemetery.
